On November 16, Vestbee announced the Finalists and Masters of this year’s AWS AI Challenge. The competition reached its second edition and grew significantly in importance. While last year it covered CEE only, in 2021 it was opened to the startup ecosystem from across the entire EMEA region.
It has been a tremendous work that took 2 months in total. Applicants had to present Artificial Intelligence use cases that would solve a real problem and be implemented into a real business solution. All projects were evaluated by the business and technology analysts according to their innovation, business support, sellability, complexity, the capacity to scale as a world changer and the level of AWS data analytics integration.
In total, ~600 AI startups from across EMEA submitted their projects and ~150 applications were qualified for in-depth evaluation.
Top 30 projects that used AI to solve a real business problem were selected as finalists, while the 10 startups with highest scores were selected as Challenge Masters.
The competition was backed by 40 cross-EMEA VC's and 28 cross-EMEA startup community partners, and was powered by AWS.
